Procedure: balloon kyphoplasty for vertebral compression fractures — fluoroscopically guided balloon tamp restoration of vertebral height with PMMA cement augmentation, moderate sedation, office-based facility, same-day discharge.
Consider referral for: acute/subacute osteoporotic VCFs with pain refractory to conservative management, progressive height loss or kyphotic deformity, and pathologic fractures needing stabilization.
